Designing a cup for a volunteer project
The good cups
Packaging DESIGN

The "Good Cups" project is a cup cover design competition that took place as part of my studies in collaboration with the "JDC Israel" Association and the "Peamit Store" company.
The idea behind the competition is to design a cup, inspired by the personal story of another student that dealing with a disorder of any kind.
I designed my cup inspired by the story of the student Shoam Sahar, who told me that during her military service she began to feel an extreme lack of connection to the military, which caused her depression, anxiety attacks and a very poor emotional state that causes the need for psychiatric pills, it made her feel unwell By itself, the knowledge that she is taking pills and depends on them. Shoam told me that she wanted to feel again that she was in control of her life on her own and not dependent on these drugs and so she decided one day alone to stop taking the pills and she felt that she was given a chance to start over, from the beginning.
Because the cup design brief stated that the cup must be typographically based, I chose to use the word "mehathala" (heb - from the beginning) in my cup design to denote the point at which they decided to stop the balls, and write the word in a way that spans the entire cup. Along with the entire cup and a small connection that shows the small change that needs to be made to start over. The glass comes in several colors that express optimism and joy to reinforce the message that you can always start from the beginning and accept yourself anew.
This cup design won the competition and was sold in "Peamit Store" stores.
